Yes — that is the whole point. Add your domain, set the four DNS records we show you (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and we verify them automatically. Most registrars propagate in a few minutes; nothing about your registrar or website hosting changes.
Your mail is yours. Export any mailbox as a standard .mbox archive from the dashboard at any time, or sync everything out over IMAP before you go. After cancellation we keep your data for 30 days, then delete it permanently.
Iris processes messages only to serve you — summaries, triage, and search over your own mailbox. Your mail is never used to train models, never sold, and AI features can be disabled per mailbox with one switch.
A user is a person with a login. Mailboxes, aliases, and shared addresses like support@ don't count as extra users — a Pro user can own many mailboxes within their plan limits.
Yes. Every mailbox speaks standard IMAP (mx1.mail.atrix.dev:993) and SMTP submission (:587), so Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, and phones all work. The AI features live in our webmail and API, and never get in the way of a plain client.
Mailbox plans cover human mail. The sending tiers cover programmatic mail — transactional and product email through POST /v1/emails, with webhooks, delivery logs, and idempotent retries. The first 10,000 API emails each month are free on every plan.
